Alignment Session
28 February 2025 | Online
FORMEM will conduct a study on the application of the Supports Intensity Scale for Adults (SIS-A) in Portugal throughout 2025.
This study will be coordinated by Professors Mónica Maia (ESE-IPP), Sofia Santos (FMH-ULisboa), and Susana Martins (ESE-IPP), with the following objectives:
(1) Demonstrate the added value of the SIS-A in monitoring and planning supports, with tangible gains in efficiency and effectiveness;
(2) Support the variability of supports among people with disabilities and the need for support throughout life;
(3) Relate the necessary supports with the hours of support provided; and
(4) Promote a sociodemographic profile of the population with disabilities supported by the Centres for Qualification and Employment Resources.
The interviewers involved in this study are professionals who have previously attended SIS-A training sessions and began the process with an Alignment Session, which took place on 28 February 2025 at 11:00 a.m., via Microsoft Teams.
This activity is carried out within the scope of the project “Understanding and Monitoring to Act Better”, co-financed by INR I.P.
